WHO QUALIFIES: Individuals with a close family member who is a U.S. citizen or Lawful Permanent resident such as:

an Immediate relative of U.S. citizen
a Preference relative of U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
an Accompanying relative of someone in preference category

DEFINITIONS & QUOTAS

IMMEDIATE RELATIVE:

Spouses of U.S. citizens, unmarried children under the age of 21 who have at least one U.S. citizen parent, parents of U.S. citizens if the child is over 21.

NO QUOTA RESTRICTIONS.
THERE ARE AN UNLIMITED NUMBER OF VISAS AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE RELATIVES
FAMILY PREFERENCE

1st Preference: Unmarried people, 21 and over, who have at least one U.S. citizen parent.

2nd Preference: Spouses and unmarried children 21 and under and adult unmarried children of Lawful Permanent residents.

3rd Preference: Married children of U.S. Citizens.

4th Preference: Brothers and sisters of U.S. Citizens.

ACCOMPANYING RELATIVE:

Spouse or unmarried children under the age of 21 of individual acquiring lawful permanent resident status in preference category
