Susan W. Scheer

Susan is an accomplished immigration attorney with degrees from Rutgers and Georgetown, admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the U.S. Supreme Court. A frequent speaker and media contributor in both English and Spanish, she has been recognized for her leadership and advocacy through numerous professional affiliations and as Entrepreneur of the Year by Latina Style Magazine.

Susan attended Douglass College at Rutgers University and received her B.A. in 1974. She attended Georgetown University to get her M.A.T. in 1977 and went on to receive her J.D. from Georgetown as well in 1982. Susan is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the United States Supreme Court. Professional affiliations include: Member and Co-Chair, Immigration Section of the Morris County Bar Association (MCBA); Member and former Chair, Immigration Section of the NJ State Bar Association (NJSBA); Member and Officer, NJ Chapter of the Federal Bar Association; Member and former Treasurer, NJ Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA); and Member of the Board of Directors, Morris County Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce (MCHACC).

Susan was awarded the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2013 by Latina Style Magazine. For over ten years, Susan has been a widely acclaimed speaker on a broad range of immigration-related topics for the local Bar Association, Continuing Legal Education forums, and business, community, and church groups. She has also delivered educational and professional presentations on TV and radio in both English and Spanish.
