New Jersey Immigration Attorney Discusses Applying for Work Authorization with a Tourist Visa
I am most often asked as an experienced New Jersey Immigration Attorney if you can apply to work in the United States when you are visiting on a valid tourist Visa.
- Because you are on a visitor visa it is not the easiest thing to gain employment authorization and will need to be jointly filed with another application.
- A B1 tourist Aisa allows you to visit for business, but you must be paid from an abroad company. A B1 cannot be used to work for a US company.
- A B2 tourist Visa is strictly for pleasure.
