New Jersey Immigration Attorney Discusses Studying Abroad if You Have a Green Card
As a New Jersey Immigration Attorney, I was recently asked if a Green Card holder could travel outside the U.S. and study abroad.
- USCIS created the I-131 form which allows you to obtain a reentry permit, which gives you the option to stay outside of the U.S. for two years.
- You are required to submit fingerprints when applying for reentry, and proof of why you want to stay abroad.
